The World Mixed Martial Arts Awards
The Fighters Only World MMA Awards is THE awards show for the sport of mixed martial arts and stands alone as the only independent industry-recognised celebration for MMA.
The Awards have been in existence since 2008, with 15 annual events held to date. Over the years the iconic Fighters Only Statuette has become a symbol for excellence within the sport, as celebrated by its biggest stars.
The level of respect and recognition garnered by the Fighters Only World MMA Awards has led to the event, and the awards themselves, referred to as “The Oscars of MMA,” with the awards offering the highest independently presented honour in the sport.
Award nominees are selected by a panel of industry insiders, and the winners are decided by the fans, who vote in their tens of thousands every year to choose the big winners across a wide range of categories, with fighters, coaches, trainers, analysts, promotions, and media sources honoured each year.
The Fighters Only World MMA Awards event itself is also a unique moment in the mixed martial arts year, as fighters, coaches, and personalities from all facets of MMA come together to celebrate the best of the sport from that year.
The Awards event also enjoys significant broadcast reach, with a sizeable global TV footprint reflecting genuine international interest as fans around the world tune in to watch their favourite fighters celebrated each year.
The 16th Annual Fighters Only World MMA Awards nomination period runs from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
